The event will take place at Deep South Bar in the Warehouse District on Saturday August 16th @ 10pm. The winner will perform at a future Downtown Live event in Moore Square, with the other 80s Hair Bands. This is the perfect venue for the winner or they could start opening for various bands in Raleigh. Slim’s? Berkeley Cafe? The Pour House? I could see this catching on locally. Maybe even chance it and go to the national tryouts. And the night after the Air Guitar Championships, you can celebrate your win at the Smashing Pumpkins show a couple of blocks away.
